Zambian champions Zesco United today take on South African side Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi final of the 2016 CAF champions league first leg.
Given very little to chance of getting this far when the tournament commenced, Zesco have defied all odds to get to the final four.
The George Lwandamina coached has played 11 times in this year’s competition losing only twice to Horoya and Wydad Casablanca in away games and they are expected to carry the good home firm into the first leg of the semi final.
While Zesco drew their final game at home against Casablanca, Sundowns were walloped 3 – 1 in Nigeria by Enyimba.
