CAF CL: Zesco leave for Mali

Zesco quest for a place in the group stage of the CAF Champions league continues this weekend when they play Stade Malien of Mali this weekend.

George Lwandamina named a strong 18 man squad that will leave for Bamako today (Tuesday) which does not have David Owino and Clatous Chama though Ben Adama Bahn has made the trip unlike earlier reported. The two will miss the match owing to suspensions.

Zesco overcame Al Ghazala Wau FC of South Sudan in the preliminary round before eliminating AC Horoya of Guinea in the first round via 3 – 0 and 4 – 3 aggregate scorelines in the respective rounds.

The team leaves this afternoon from Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe airport aboard an Ethiopian airlines flight. They will spend a night in Addis Ababa and proceed to Bamako tomorrow.

The game will be played on Saturday 9th April at 16 hours.
