The Zambian Champions suffered a 2-1 defeat in the first leg of their CAF Champions League Preliminary Round encounter against African Stars of Namibia.
Former Lusaka Dynamos winger Willy Stephanus put African Stars in the lead after just 27 minutes.
Last season’s MTN Super League top goalscorer Andy Boyeli pulled Abayellow level in the dying minutes of the first half.
However Edmund Kambanda restored African Stars lead 17 minutes into the second stanza as the Namibian outfit held on to win the match 2-1 at the Dobsonville Stadium.
Mwenya Chipepo’s side will host African Stars at Arthur Davies Stadium next weekend in the return leg.
The winner over two-legs will book a date East Africa in a showdown against Simba SC.
