CAF CL Final: Advantage Mweene as Mayuka’s Zamalek are thrashed

Kennedy Mweene’s Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa have put one hand on the CAF Champions League trophy after they beat Emmanuel Mayuka 3 – 0 in the first leg of the 2016 tournament final.

It was a bad day for the Egyptians who conceded two goals in the first half from Anthony Laffor and Langerman before before they conceded an own goal just after the restart.

Both Mweene and Mayuka were unused substitutes in the game.

The two teams meet in the final match on 23rd October in Egypt.

Sundowns will be weary of the threat Zamalek poses at home after they beat Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca 4 – 0 in the first leg of the semi final played in Egypt.

  1. Surely is that a team to keep Mayuka on the bench. I watched the entire game at Lucas Moripe stadium and looking at the two teams, Sundowns have more quality in terms of team sheet. Zesco messed up big time coz they have a better team than those pampered Egyptians. For Mayuka to be on the bench in that side without even testing 5 minutes means he is finished and we must as well forget about him.

  2. Wolverhamptamton wanderes in psl wanted him but he refused bcause he thought he will became a hero at soton this time he would he would have improved in england champion ship now see at last he is be coming to kabwe warriors mark my words ,And you people keep calling for mayuka to nation team you have to be watching football before blaming the coach for his selection kkkkkkk

    • Wolverhamptamton wanderes in psl????…lol
