CAF has decided to delay the start of the group stage in the Champions League for a month.
The 1st round will take place on November 26-27 instead of next October due to the African Nations Championship.
The dates of the six rounds will be as follows:
1st round: November 26-27, 2024
2nd round: December 6-8, 2024
3rd round: December 13-15, 2024
4th round: January 3-5, 2025
5th round: January 10-12, 2025
6th round: January 17-19, 2025
The draw will take place on 7 October in Cairo, Egypt.
Zambian Champions Red Arrows and Zesco United failed to advance to the group stage.
Red Arrows were dumped out of the competition by Congolese giants TP Mazembe via a 4-1 aggregate.
Zimbabwe’s Dynamos ended Zesco United’s journey in the CAF Confederations Cup in the previous round.
