Zesco United’s opponents in the first match of the 2017 CAF Confederations Cup group stage have arrived in Ndola ahead of the game on Saturday.
Smouha arrived in the country about 1500hrs and will rest on Wednesday before starting to work out on Thursday.
They are currently in 5th position in the Egyptian league and have not won a match in the last 5 games.
Coach Momen Soliman has said his squad has come to Zambia missing key players due to injury.
“We know Zesco very well, they played in Egypt last year. We have a number of players injured in our team. We have five players who are injured while two have injuries,” he said.
The two teams play at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. The game kicks off at 1530hrs.

Mind games, especially ngabaisa ingisha first. They will delay and disturb the flow of the game till heavens come.
Remember they arrived in time to even watch ZESCO play GBFC. They know what they are doing.
The only consolation is that the game in Egypt is not the one we are used to, the one we were seeing a few years ago.

From my own observations,the zesco team has lost that quest to play as we have seen during their play in the local league.it is the coach who has problems in understanding the zesco philosophy of play,which has somehow confused the players.so there is a lot of doubt if zesco will carry the day,coach kempotic should adjust his style otherwise his performance contract won’t last long
