San Pedro 0 – 0 Nkana [Aggregate 0-3]
Nkana FC progressed to group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after playing to a goalless draw against San Pedro of Ivory Coast.
The result saw Nkana progress with a 3 – 0 aggregate scoreline having won the first leg with three unanswered goals.
Beston Chambeshi made three changes to the line-up that started against San Pedro in the first leg played in Kitwe. Musa Muhammad, Soutra Tshimenga and Festus Mbewe came in for Walter Bwalya, Ronald Kampamba and Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba who was dropped on disciplinary grounds.
San Pedro dominated the match with Nkana sitting back and mainly playing on the counter attack.
The plan could have backfired for Nkana especially in the first half when San Pedro twice saw their goals ruled out for offside and they were also awarded a penalty which was shot over the bar in the 36th minute.
A better second half by Nkana kept San Pedro at bay and eliminated them from the CAF Confederation Cup.
