Zambia Super League side, Red Arrows football club management is confident the team will do well in Eswatini and expect a win over the weekend.
In an interview with the ZamFoot Crew, Red Arrows CEO, Bruce Milunga said, Management expects nothing less than a win from the team. Milunga also confirmed that the sponsors had done their part in ensuring that everything is well arranged.
“As the Red Arrows management we expect nothing else but a win from the team, we are aware that a draw will take us to the next round but we still want the boys to play for a win,” he said.
“The sponsors and us the management did what we could, to give our boys enough time to prepare in readiness for Saturday’s game, and adapting to the hot weather conditions here in Eswatini.”
Meanwhile, captain of the side, Benedict Chepeshi is Confident that the team will put in one hundred percent when they face off with Young Buffaloes in the return leg on Saturday.
“The game won’t be easy knowing we are leading 2-1 on aggregate, am sure our opponents are planning for a win as well, but we will do our level best so that we have a positive result from here.”
Felix Bulaya who scored a brace in the first leg of the preliminary round is also looking forward to scoring even more goals and reaching the group stage of the Confederation Cup.
“We just have to work as a team and score more goals. We will work extra hard so that we reach the group stage,” he said.
The Airmen arrived in eswatini on Wednesday morning, and have started their training, in readiness for Saturday’s game.
Should they manage to avoid defeat they set up a clash with Angola side Primero de Augusto in the second preliminary round.
