Caesar Hakaloba pens emotional Green Eagles farewell messageĀ 

Green Eagles football club captain Caesar Hakaloba has announced his departure from the Choma based MTN Super League side.

Hakaloba took to Facebook to confirm his departure in an emotional farewell message to the club he called home for over a decade. 

The 2018 Eagles player of the season thanked the club management, his fellow players and the fans for their contribution to the team. 

He captained the team through their most successful period which saw them participate in the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup. 

Four years ago Hakaloba led Eagles to a third place  finish to win bronze and $10 000 prize money at the CECAFA Kagame Cup in Rwanda. 

Below his the statement: 

“I would like to thank our father the ZNS COMMANDER, our regional commander southern province who’s the (chairman of GEFC), the entire executive committee, the coaches, my fellow players & all the supporters who have contributed to the growth of my football career at Green Eagles FC.

 It’s a day with emotions to say my 14th year of service at Green Eagles fc “as a player” has come to an end of which I am really proud of myself for having saved this great team diligently and I will always love this team because it’s part of my life. 

 I wish the club success in the coming seasons for I will always support it with love as God also gives me strength as I face new challenges in my football career & may the almighty richly bless every soul that is attached to this great team (GEFC).”

  1. Chipolopoli has potential to win it. Just that the stadium looked so big. Maybe slow the game down a bit, like the way you used to play.
