Zambia international midfielder Noah Chivuta yesterday toasted his team, Nakhon Ratchasima’s promotion to the Thai top league as he scored two goals in their 4 – 1 win over bottom placed Sriracha.
Chivuta who has been one of the most consistent campaigners in the Thai Division 1 league and has become a household name in his city said he was happy to have delivered for his team.
“I am just happy to have helped my team win the league,” the experienced midfielder stated.
With two games to play, the win pushed Chivuta’s team to 66 points, 9 points ahead of second placed Saraburi.
In the Israeli league, striker Rogers Kola scored the second for his club Ironi Kiryat Shmona as they beat Maccabi Petah Tikva 3-0.
In other Ligat ha’Al action, Emmanuel Mbola walked straight in the starting line-up for his club Hapoel Ra’anana from national duty but could only help them to a 1 – 1 draw against Hapoel Be’er Sheva. Striker Evans Kangwa was an unused substitute for Ra’anana
In the PSL, two of Zambia’s most experienced players Kennedy Mweene and Christopher Katongo faced off when Mameoldi Sundonws drew 0 – 0 against Bidvest Wits.
While the Chipolopolo number 1 started and completed the match, Katongo came in as a late 88th minute substitute but the game had enough added on time for the Zambian striker too make his impact felt.
Mweene did not have much work to do but made two crucial saves in the game, one a reflex save off his foot. Katongo on the other hand showed a lot of experience in helping wind down the clock but was unlucky to see his volley from 35 yards just inch off Mweene’s goal in what would have been a spectacular match winning goal after he had rolled over his marker to shoot from range.
The draw keeps Wits in third position ahead of Sundowns on goal difference.
Collins Mbesuma has also continued to make appearances for Mpumalanga Black Aces as he came on in the 63rd minute to help his club grab an important 3 – 2 away win at Moroka Swallows.
Clifford Mulenga was not named on the bench for Ajax Capetown as they slumped to a 1 – 0 loss at home to Kaizer Chiefs.
Age-less and ever-green Joseph Musonda put in another 90 minute shift for Polokwane City as they went down 5 – 1 to Mukuka Mulenga and Davies Nkausu’s Bloemfontein Celtic.
Nkausu completed the match while Mulenga only lasted 59 minutes and was replaced by Motshegwa who accounted for two goals.
Rock bottom Amazulu failed to pick their first win of the season as they went down 1 – 0 at home to Chippa United in a game Zambian striker Bornwell Mwape played 90 minutes.
In Armenia, young Lubambo Musonda has continued to enjoy game time as his team Ulisses continues to be on course for a UEFA Champions League place.
Ulisses thrashed Gandzascar 7 – 1 to remain firmly on top of the log.
In France, Chipolopolo defender Stoppila Sunzu did not play as he his team Sochaux beat Chateroux 4 – 0 away in ligue 2 action.
Sochaux are currently in 7th position two points away from the last (third position) promotion place and four points behind leaders Dijon who have a game in hand.
In Switzerland, Nathan Sinkala was not in action for Grasshoppers as they went down 3 – 1 to FC Zurich. Sinkala is said to have been down with a fever since his return from international duty.
Grasshoppers who finished second in the league last season are currently wallowing in 8th position having only picked 3 wins in 12 games.
In the DRC, only Kabaso Chongo was named in Patrice Carterons TP Mazembe team that lost 1 – 0 away to Sanga Balende.
Chongo who was not named in the Chipolopolo team that beat Niger 3 – 0 in Ndola in midweek played the entire match but there was no place even on the bench for his compatriots, Jonas Sakuwaha, Given Singuluma and Rainford Kalaba.
Striker, Luka Lungu was unused as he warmed the bench for CS Don Bosco in their 4-0 home victory over AS Bantous.

mixed news
mixed news on the boys
Comprehensive report Zamfoot…well done and thank u very much..
Keep it up zamfoot.. U should also give us the table 4 division 1 north and south
Yes table for Div 1 North and South, so abo ninshi niba Mighty.
Ba Mighty uno mwaka mwabweleni uko mwaile.
Ifwe twakulile pa Shinde lelo tu sapota Kabwe Warriors.
We are almost beginning to say congrats to Mighty.
Keep it up Zamfoot its news like this will keep in touch with our professional abroad. I still think we need to rebuild our national team bring in fresh legs mix them with those who seem not so tired as to say. Its time for young players to get the much needed experience they need to be able to compete at the highest level with energy and hunger for success
Noah Chivuta should be recalled back to Hepolopolo. He is good at free kicks.
Ba Mumbi just look at the type of League Chivuta plays for before calling for his inclusion in the chipolopolo. Coz even average players like Festus can shine in that league. Forget tired legs like Chivuta..
Such names should not be near the new national team most people are advocating for. Let Chivuta make his retirement package were he is. Indeed no tired legs for the national team and by the way, i don’t remember Chivuta scoring any free kick in the national team although i remember him taking countless number of them.
chivuta is a pathetic footballer
Please just leave Noah Chivuta alone to enjoy his pension. Chipolopolo is for the youngsters.
Names like Chivuta should not even be mentioned in the same sentence as Chipolopolo Boys.
@Mumbi. While Chivuta’s contributions to the national team are appreciated. I have to agree that it is time to move on. Had he been a young and upcoming talent, I would have agreed with calling him, but he has done his duty.
We need to start focusing on guys like Lubambo Musonda and Evans Kangwa who are the future of the national team. Hopefully Mukuka Mulenga continues to heal as well. I have to agree with Paulsens assessment on the national team. Zambia has skilled players and should avoid playing the more physical style that they are adopting. Play a more technical game. Imagine Chisamba, Mukuka, Kalaba combining in that midfield. With the right formula; no one would touch us.
Hahaha tipical diluded zambian .
@Alex ZZ
What exactly is your issue with my statement? I have never bothered with commenting on Ghana and involving myself in your football because as fans we are allowed to express ourselves. Do you have some sort of mandate to attack everything positive said about Zambia by Zambian fans. The statement “no one will be able to touch us,” does not mean we will go and beat Brazil, Spain and whoever, but simply implies that we would be a great team and fun to watch.
You need to get the stick out of your backside and grow up. You need to go sit down somewhere and get over Zambia vs Ghana. We played eachother; we came out on top in Africa Cup and you came out on top in the World cup. The thing is done and dusted. WE Zambians have moved on, I suggest you do the same.
Otherwise, if you are going to criticize what I say; at least have the freakin balls to show some intelligent and critical arguments. Please see a proctologist ASAP.
@John let’s talk about mayuka, what makes you think he is an EPL material?? how many goals has this chap scored in england??
mayuka will definetly get +-45 minutes next week against stoke city in capital one cup natch if koeman thinks he is good enough to play ahead of Shane long, But I doubt if that would happen.
Happy for Mayuka though..
mayuka played well in the game that his team won 8-0.
Names don’t play football, neither does age. If you’re performing at your club you deserve a call up
@ Positive thinking I am here to stay whether you like it or not, How can you be positive about bench warmers in india, China, Thailand etx ? you the one who needs to go and see a shrink.
So not only do you need a proctologist, you also need a lesson in English comprehension. Check if any of the names I mentioned play in India or Thailand. Seriously dude, get over it. I am not asking you to leave the site, its open to everyone. BUT you need to see a shrink so you can get over yourself and your black stars.
There are some Ghanaians who come here and talk about good things and make good points, then there are morons who simply come here to antagonize and give unfounded criticism, you are the latter. This will be last statement to you on the matter, because clearly your capacity for intelligent conversation has clearly met its qouta is non renewable. So enjoy your misery.
Alex zz is a teenager looking for trouble. u know how teenagers r in their heads.
Janza should call Lubambo Musonda now, new blood in the team is want we need. A lot of players are doing well abroad spot on ZamFoot
Pliz Janza, we need Lubambo Musonda and Evans Kangwa fo the Mozambique game. That way we can overcom those guyz I think.
I condemn the sacking of cris from the team by crap coach janza. it was unceremonious and in bad taste. cris is a legend in african footbal, he has to retire, it has to be properly and with ceremony.
When is this Kalu going to hire Stephen Keshi? Sillyman!
Nigeria willing to host 2015 AFCON should Morocco stand firm on stepping down. Wonder what will happen to Morocco ‘a automatic spot should this float.
Nigeria willing to host 2015 AFCON should morocco stand firm on stepping down. Wonder what will happen to Moroccos’s automatic spot should this come to pass. I think it will be just considering they are defending champions .
we don’t need keshi, we already have janza at the moment, congrats to the players abroad, i feel lubambo musonda should be called to the national team.
@Don/Din, should Morocco pull out and Nigeria host as you have said, CAF will replace Morocco by second best losing team in the group qualifiers. Already, there is a spot for one best losing team in the qualifiers.
Ba tc soccerman, you want a 419 Keshi to bring Ebola and Boko haram in Zambia? Kalu will never employ Keshi.
Meanwhile, Herve Renard is coming to attend Zambia’s jubilee independence celebrations where our GOVT will award him for being the first coach to lead Zambia to its first afcon Trimph.
Congrats HR 4 that.
I think the problem we have with Chipolopolo is our clubs/league which hasnt been able to produce enough decent players for a very long time. It’s not because Nkana reached the group stage of the CAF cup last season that things have changed. Even if we hired Alex Fergusson, it wouldnt help. Keshi cant resolve the problem. This new Assistant Coach is just being polite when he says we have lots of skillful players…I cant seen them! Another big headache is finding sponsors to finance teams where new talents should come from!
Who is Janza ?
Mayuka play well against sunderland.he did score because he only played for 10 min.he is a good player
Janza must be allowed time to do his job… keshi should go home and hope Nigeria host the Afcon 2015. He might be a good coach but we r content with our own! For goodness sake we should trust our own!
Named goal WHR are you from for u not to know Janza? lol
he is a Zambian coach who’s duty is not only to transform our team but to take us to Afcon 2015 wherever it will be hosted
