The Week 29 MTN Super League match between Kansanshi Dynamos and Buildcon FC has officially been declared a walkover by match officials, reports the host team.
Apparently, The relegated team, Buildcon has failed to travel to the Lumwana Ground in Kalumbila.
Kansanshi Dynamos took to social media to confirm the development.
“FAZ/MTN Super League Home Match
has been officially declared a walkover
as our opponents, Buildcon FC did not show up at Lumwana Stadium.”
Kansanshi will be given three points and three goals for this match but will have to be confirmed by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) and the relevant bodies.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that Team Kopala players are protesting the nonpayment of salaries.
It is alleged that the players have only received their salaries twice this season.
Buildcon which is solely owned by Moses Mubanga was formed in 2012 in Choma as AM welding but changed the name to Buildcon in 2017 after AM Welding was sold to Buildcon Investments.
They quickly made headlines on the local scene as big spenders after signing over 25 foreign players in the 2017 season.
