Ndola side Buildcon are believed to have spent around K300 000 as transfer fee for Nchanga Rangers defender Isaac Shamujompa. The national team defender is one of the most admired centre backs in the league.
According to the ZamFoot Crew sources, Buildcon will only pay the Chingola outfit about K170 000 next year because before the transfer saga which involved Intersport, Kalulushi Modern Stars and Power Dynamos, the kopala side paid K130, 000.
Shamujompa had earlier expressed interest to stay at Power Dynamos but it seems the Executive at Arthur Davies stadium are not willing to folk the huge sums being Nchanga Rangers are asking for.
Shamujompa is currently in camp with the national team preparing for the world cup qualifier against Cameroon on Saturday.
It will be interesting to see if the most expensive local defender in the league will walk straight into the starting line-up which has Isaac Isinde and Moro Lamine supplemented by Christopher Munthali.
