Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club have continued their unbeaten run as they made it 28 games this season without defeat.
This follows a 5-0 win over Police Dove Queens in a rescheduled week 25 encounter away in Solwezi.
A brace each from Maylan Mulenga and Agness Phiri plus a goal from Vanessa Chikupira all in the first half was enough for the defending Champions.
Maylan Mulenga opened the scoring in the 27th minute after being set up by a brilliant pass from Evarine Susan Katongo.
The Buffaloes forward doubled the lead two minutes later with a close range finish after the Police Dove Queens failed to deal with a Maweta Chilenga corner kick.
Vanessa Chikupira made it 3-0 with a fine finish after being put through in goal by Martha Katila Banda.
Agness Phiri then took over the show with a close range finish and a fine first time finish of a Maweta Chilenga pass five minutes later.
The hosts came back in the second half with a bit more purpose but could not break the resilient Buffaloes defence.
The win means Buffaloes regain their 3 point lead as they move to 74 points on the table with six games left to play.
Buffaloes have played 28 games, winning 23 and drawing five.
Up next for Green Buffaloes is Green Eagles while ZESCO Ndola Girls play, National Assembly.
