Buffaloes set to unveil Masauso Tembo as head coach

Green Buffaloes have settled for Masauso Tembo as their new head coach a month after first holding talks with him.

Tembo was identified by the club’s Executive Committee as Justin Chinama’s successor.

The ZamFoot Crew understands that Masasuso and the Zambia army sponsored outfit have agreed with only a few personal terms yet to be finalized.

The ZamFoot Crew understands that the former Power Dynamos boss could be unveiled as early as Monday to officially take over from Chinama.

Chinama was sent on administrative leave in March following a string of poor results.

Australia Mweemba acted as head coach in his absence deputised by former Chipolopolo defender Buchizya Mfune.

Tembo on the other hand helped FC MUZA to secure qualification to the Super League.

The club has also appointed 2012 AFCON winner, Felix ‘Jet Li’ Katongo who will be the club’s new physical trainer

The Zambia army sponsored outfit is in Kawambwa for pre season training in preparation for the 2022/2023 MTN/FAZ Super League which kicks off on 20th August 2022.

Tembo will join the team next week in Kawambwa to start life with Green Buffaloes.
