Zambia super league side Green Buffaloes has been drawn in group C of the annual CECAFA Kagame cup 2019 alongside newly promoted Uganda premier league side Proline Football Club, Somalian club Heegan football club and Armée Patriotique Rwandaise Football Club (APR FC) from Rwanda.
The tournament will be held in Kigali, Rwanda from July 7-21 and will run simultaneously with the 32nd edition of Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) finals, which will be held in Egypt.
Clubs like TP Mazembe, Ugandan Kampala Capital City Authority FC (KCCA), Kenya’s Gor Mahia will all take part in the tournament. The winner will walk away with $30000 prize money. Azam FC of Tanzania are the reigning champions after beating domestic rivals Simba SC in Dar es Salaam last year
