Green Buffaloes have deepened ZESCO United’s woes following another defeat while Power Dynamos, and Nchanga Rangers claimed narrow wins.
Green Buffaloes came from behind to hand Zesco United their second consecutive defeat, following their loss to Napsa Stars on Thursday.
The win in Lusaka adds to the Ndola giants’ growing concerns in the MTN Super League.
The visitors took the lead 28 minutes into the match, Solomon Sakala finishing off a cross from Abraham Siankombo.
Buffaloes however staged a second half comeback with Christopher Kumwembe scoring the equalizer in the 66th minute.
Moonga Chilimba put the hosts in the lead in the 79th minute converting from 12 yards. The loss is ZESCO United’s second in four days in the MTN Super League.
On the Copperbelt, Power Dynamos and Nchanga Rangers both secured hard-fought 1–0 victories — Power edging Nkwazi, while Nchanga narrowly beat Muza.
Ishmael Eddy Ankobo’s goal just second into the match was the difference at Arthur Davies Stadium as Nkwazi continued their winless run this season.
In Chingola, Abraham Kanyangala’s header in the 32nd minute was the difference.
