The Second Leg for the Cameroon 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier between Zambia and Botswana is set for Saturday 3rd August at Heroes Stadium. The Two teams battled to a goalless draw at Francistown Stadium on Friday in Botswana.
Botswana head coach Mogomotsi Mpote told reporters on arrival at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport that the Zebras will be looking for a goal that they hope to defend well.
“We are here to fight and try to win this game and qualify, if we get one goal it will be good for us and that goal will be defended well,” he said.
Mpote made it clear that his team is in Zambia to finish what they started by beating Zambia and Qualifying for the 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN). The Confident Botswana coach made his team’s intention known and assured a Goal at any time during the game.
“We are here to play good football and try to find a goal that will bring another goal to complete our mission in Zambia.”
Winner over two legs will play either Angola or eSwatini in the final qualifying round. Angola and eSwatini settled for a 1-1 first-leg draw in Manzini

1 – 1 draw is all it takes for Botswana to take us back to the drawing board thanks to Mozambique who did the same in the AFCON qualifiers. Scary tie if you ask me knowingly our error prone defenders.
