Zambia Super League side, Forest Rangers have signed 2013 COSAFA Cup winner Bornwell Mwape, the club has confirmed.
In a statement made available to the ZamFoot Crew, The Ndola-based outfit has acquired the former NAPSA Stars forward on a two-year deal.
“And this is exactly what our new striker Mwape formerly of Napsa Stars will bring to the Tenant Chembo coached side after signing a two-year contract.”
Mwape is happy to join Fole Malembe and he is relishing to get down to work with his new teammates.
“I feel so happy to join Forest Rangers and I am humbled to be here. I can’t wait to get on the pitch,” he said.
Mwape will compete for a starting place in the team alongside the likes of Quadri Kola, Peter Mwaangeni, Thomas Chideu, Eric Chomba, Issa Bigirimana, and Moro Amenu.
Mwape started his professional football in 2009 at his boyhood club Nchanga Rangers. After a successful four-year stint at Nchanga, Mwape moved to South Africa and joined AmaZulu.
He spent three seasons at AmaZulu before returning to Zambia to join Nkana. At Nkana, Mwape penned a two-year deal after which he moved to Napsa Stars.
