The ZamFoot Crew now takes a look at an upcoming defender from Northern Province, Boniface ‘Chipa’ Kashiwa a 20-year-old Mungwi Hotspurs Football club left-back.
Kashiwa has been impressive during 2020/2021 FAZ Provincial Division One Northern league thanks to his composure with robust physical strength on the ball and good shielding abilities.
He always anticipates and reads the game which makes him a very good left-back.
He has been very instrumental for his team, Hotspurs in their rejuvenation who have renewed their journey to National Play-Offs.
He has been consistent with giving a 100% work rate much to the delight of the fans of the FAZ Northern Province Division One.
Kashiwa was molded by Mungwi Technical Boys Secondary School one of the Schools in the North region known to be contributing to the growth of Zambian football by producing the likes of talented players like Edward ‘Tiger’ Chilufya, Innocent Nkhoma, Niza Simutenda, and the like.
The boy has a lot of potential to become the next big thing thanks to his hardworking spirit and commitment which is key in taking a player far in their football career.
In those day , we had big teams like GBFS , Vitaform United and others going to rural areas during the off season to play teams from lower leagues . It’s time we had good scouts to get the young players to Europe. This is what’s helping countries like Cameroon , Senegal . They don’t have big teams to compete at the continental level but they have good scouts to sent young players to Europe.
Emmanuel Munaile is also a product of this school.
