The only thing that can cement another term, for a coach in his role, at the helm of the technical bench of a Zambia Super league side, is winning the title.
There is no place for the Arsene Wenger sort of coaches here. If results are not coming by, it’s either you are dismissed by the club hierarchy or staunch supporters.
You can ask Zeddy Saileti who took over the coaching role for Nkana from Aggrey Chiyengi at the start of this season and got fired within the opening quarter.
In fact, only Numba Mumamba–last season’s league winner with Zanaco, can predict what the future holds for him.
The term is even yet to reach half way and there has been changes in regards to the coaching positions at City of Lusaka, Green Eagles, Nkana, Konkola Blades, Kabwe Warriors, Mufulira Wanderers, Nakambala Leopards, Lumwana Radiants and Nchanga Rangers.
On the list of surviving coaches from last season, Numba Mumamba is joined by Napsa Stars coach Tenant Chilumba, Albert Mpande of Nkwazi, Green Buffaloe’s Bilton Musonda and Danny Kabwe at Power Dynamos.
Zesco United, Red Arrows, Lusaka Dynamos and Forest Rangers started with new coaches this season–Zlatko Krmpotic, Honor Janza, Perry Mutapa and Patrick Phiri respectively.
Newcomers, Buidcon and Real Nakonde have hired different coaches to those they had last season in the lower tier.
Why changing the coach as early as match day-5 of a 20 teams football league?

Its not inspiring to be a coach in Zambian league nowadays. Then there are some coaches making bad decisions to join notorious clubs, e.g Beston Chambeshi from world class championship to leave successful Lumwana to Nkhana!?
Power Dynamos FC is not the same since Kabwe joined they no longer play Barcelona kind of football they are known for I see him being fired
Off topic – Stoppila Sunzu has been told his services are no longer required by Lille fc’s new Argentine coach. 11 players including Nigerian keeper Vincent Enyeama are now surplus to requirement.
