Zambia Breweries under the Black Label Zambia brand have renewed the sponsorship of the Charity match.

FAZ president Andrew Kamanga in his speech called on the corporate world to emulate Zambian Breweries for their continued support towards the game.

Kamanga thanked Zambian Breweries for re-committing their sponsorship to the Charity Shield.

“It is worth acknowledging that part of the reason we have kept the zeal in growing our game is because of the support we have continuously received from partners like Zambian Breweries. While many prospective sponsors have closed their doors as they deal with the post covid era impact, Zambian Breweries has remained by our side,” Kamanga said.

“We are greatly excited to learn of their renewal of their sponsorship to the Charity Shield. The Charity Shield holds a special place in the history of our game. Apart from just signalling the commencement of our season, it has over the years birthed the careers of outstanding footballers.”

“I wish to thank Zambian Breweries for re-committing their sponsorship to the Charity Shield and remaining a fair-weather supporter of our game. We wish to implore other partners to come on board and support the game. There are many sponsorship opportunities in the game that other corporate bodies can take advantage of. A big thank you to Zambian Breweries once again,” he added.

Meanwhile Zambian Breweries Country Director Michelle Kilpin announced that the company would maintain its over K500, 000 sponsorship.

“As Zambian Breweries, we are dedicated to creating and sharing superior value for our consumers and promotion. We aim to tap into the deep-rooted passion of the beloved sport of football nationwide,” she said.

“Zambian Breweries is proud to support this event, which showcases the passion of Zambian football fans, celebrates togetherness, and is held for a noble purpose.”

“As a corporate citizen, we strive to create a future filled with more cheers, and it is fitting for us to celebrate the spirit of football in our nation while empowering youth across the country.,” She added.

The Carling Black Label Charity Shield acts as the dress rehearsal for the Zambia Super League season.

At the same event, Zambian Breweries unveiled the jerseys for this year’s match.

This year the fans will pick the players who will start in the Charity Shield, Zambian Breweries revealed. A portal will be created for the fans to pick their preferred starting lineups.
