Bilton Musonda uses injuries and congested fixture as defense after loss to Napsa Stars

Green Buffaloes were yesterday handed a one-nil defeat by Napsa Stars thanks to a well-taken strike by in-form former Southampton striker Emmanuel Muyuka in the 19th minute which was enough to condemn Buffaloes to their third straight defeat.

Head coach Bilton Musonda after the match was quick to point out the congestion of games which he feels has affected the performance of his team as they are playing two games within a space of three days.

Musonda feels his players do have enough time to recover in between games which he believes has somehow contributed to their big injury list as seven players are out nursing injuries.

“At the back, we were very loose, the goal they scored it was lose marking, we lacked the compact, we allowed them a lot of passes to penetrate our defense line which is not good,” he said.

“Sometimes you can fall because we already have about seven players who are on injury list because of continuous of the games, otherwise the performance today was not what we expected,” Musonda told the ZamFoot Crew.

The win took the Pensioners to 16th place while Green Buffaloes drop to 12th place and within 3 points of the relegation zone.
