Big blow for Napsa as Austin Banda is ruled out of Buildcon clash

Napsa Stars have suffered a big blow ahead of their week six encounter against Buildcon after winger Austin Banda and goalkeeper Casimir Youmou picked up knee injuries. Club Media and Public relations officer Gwen Mulundu Chipasula confirmed the development to

Banda picked up the injury during their one nil loss at the hands of Forest Rangers last week and has been given ten days off.

“Winger Austin Banda – picked up a Knee injury during a game played against Forest Rangers FC in Ndola last week .The player was given 10-days of rest by the team doctor and will not be available for this weekend’s match against Buildcon FC,” She said

“Goalkeeper Casimir Youmou – Also has a Knee injury which he picked up during training two weeks ago. He was given two weeks total rest, and has also been undergoing physiotherapy. He stars light training this coming Monday,” She added.

Striker Mangani Phiri has returned to training after close to six months on the sidelines due to injury.

“The team is also happy to have back, striker Mangani Phiri on the pitch who had been out since last November.. Mangani commenced training last week,” She said.
