Power Dynamos captain Benson Sakala is set to leave the Kitwe giants at the end of the season after deciding not to renew his contract with the club. The club confirmed the development in a post on their social media pages.
Sakala who has been influential in midfield for Abayellow will be a big miss and coach Masauso Tembo will need to either replace him or ask more from players like Linos Makwaza Jnr and Benson Chali.
“Club captain Benson Sakala has decided not to renew his contract with the Club that comes to an end this month-end.”
Meanwhile attacking midfielder Godfrey Ngwenya has extended his contract with the club for 2 years which will see him at Arthur Davies Stadium until 2023 with an option for extension.
Defender Raphael Mala Makubuli has also extended his stay at Power Dynamos for another two years.
Makubuli who was initially on a loan deal from Nchanga Rangers and penned a permanent deal of two years with Power Dynamos FC until January 2022, has extended his stay and will make Arthur Davies Stadium his home until 2024.
The Club Would like to wish Ngwenya and Makubuli the very best in their quest for glory with Power Dynamos while wishing Sakala good luck in his future endeavors.
Power Dynamos are currently 13th on the log with 41 points from 32 games played so far and are not yet safe from relegation.
