Alex ‘Bazo’ Ng’onga scored the only goal of the game as Nkana edged log leaders Zesco United 1-0 to end their 10 match unbeaten run.
The match was characterized by a lot of missed chances, John Mark Makwatta could have sealed the result in the first few minutes but failed to beat Malunga in goal for Nkana.
However, Ng’onga’s 20th minute well headed from a Gilroy Chimwemwe cross was enough to hand Nkana their eighth win of the season. Despite the loss, Numba Mumamba’s men remain firmly at the summit of the league table.
In Kabwe, Kabwe Warriors beat in-form Green Buffaloes 2-0 thanks to goals from Akakulubelwa Mwachiaba and Jimmy Ndhlovu to end the Soldiers five-match winning run.
The win sends the Magnificent People’s team to third place with 44 points.
Sensational Zanaco continued their good home ground form as they handed Power Dynamos their third straight loss thanks to a Moses Phiri brace.
The win means Chris Kaunda’s men cut ZESCO United’s lead at the summit to just six points through the team from Ndola had a game in hand.
Young Green Eagles’ fight to stay in the Super League received yet another positive boost as they made it five games without defeat after edging Green Eagles 1-0 at Khosa Stadium. The win takes the Kafue-based outfit to 8th place with 39 points.

Where is perry mutapa? Are you counting alex’s goals. You can never be a good coach if you fight players.
I think Perry should learn from this, being a good coach involves taking your players like your own children not fighting and attacking them but adjusting them no wonder M umamba is doing fine.
I think Perry has the same trend as the national level with Chipolopolo. Mucho needs someone with a good understanding of players as Perry has challenges in that area
Micho will never go anywhere with chipolopolo. He doesnt good relationship with players. Kabaso he is a very good player but he will perform well. He knows the coach doesnt like him. Micho has psychological problem he behaves like a grade one pupil
Bazo is an excellent player. All he needs is a good coach who relates well with players. It’s a pity the league is coming to an end; he would have scored more goals.
King bazo fever…
@ Tony Mash . Kabaso Chongo if his not in good books with the Coach , he must put the differences aside and play the good soccer he knows . When your boss is expressing inappropriate attitude towards you , it’s prudent to produce sufficiently and effectively work . We call this leadership maturity.
