Barbra Banda visits Lusaka Dynamos Ladies…Advises players to work hard and stay disciplined

Zambia Women’s national team captain Barbara Banda took time off her busy schedule to visit and address Lusaka Dynamos Ladies FC players this morning at Queensmead Stadium.

Banda advised the players to work hard and do their best with their talent. Banda who campaigns in the Chinese Taiping CFA Women’s League reminded the girls that only their good performances can prove the critics wrong.

Banda also urged the girls to be disciplined and avoid bad company so that they can perform to the best of their abilities on the pitch.

“Each one of you girls can do one or two things better than me. But what I can advise you is to work hard and do the best within your skills and abilities,” she said.

“Many will tell you that football is a male sport and will discourage you. The only way to prove them wrong is your performance. Show them you can make it.”

“Discipline is key. If you misbehave and are found in the wrong places in private, it will show on the pitch. So choose your company and your actions well,” she added.

The 20-year-old, Bauleni United Sports Academy product was the top scorer in the just ended Chinese womens league and earlier this year led the Copper Queens charge for their first Olympic qualification.
