Zambia Women’s National Team striker Barbra Banda has continued her fine form in front of goal this season after scoring in her third straight match.
The Copper Queens star forward scored a hat-trick to guide Shanghai Shengli to a 4-2 win over Yongchuan Chashan.
Banda drew Shengli level at 1-1 in the 17th minute before again netting another leveler in the 52nd minute to make it 2-2.
Banda then completed her treble in the 77th minute to seal a well deserved win.
Li Ying and Wu Yifan scored for Yongchuan Chashan.
Banda netted her second goal last Wednesday as Shanghai RCB dispatched Changchun Dazhong Zhiye 4-1 week 2.
The former Green Buffaloes Women’s Football club star opened her 2023 China Taiping Women’s Super League goal account for Shanghai with a late winner against Shaanxi Chang AN Athletic FC on March 4.
Banda has now scored five goals in three goals this season helping her club to three straight wins and tied with Wuhan Jiangda on 9 points at the summit of the league.
Banda will be hoping to help Shanghai to the title this season and probably fight for her second golden boot in China.
The former Green Buffaloes and Baulforward scored 18 goals to win the golden boot in her first season in China back in 2020.
Next up for the Copper Queens Skipper and her Shengli teammates is Jiangsu Suning on Wednesday.
