Barbra Banda eager to get started with new club Orlando PrideĀ

Barbra Banda has expressed excitement and says she is eager to get started following her move to the United States of America.

The Copper Queens captain has joined USA National Women’s Soccer League side Orlando Pride on a four year deal.

Banda joins the Pride following a $740,000 transfer fee making the second most expensive female football player in history behind teammate Rachel Kundananji.

In total, the Pride’s signing of Banda will mark one of the largest all-in investments on a player in National Women’s Soccer League history.

Banda will join the team pending the receipt of her P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

ā€œ’I am very excited to join Orlando Pride. It’s a great club and I love what they’re building. The National Women’s Soccer League is one of the most competitive and strongest leagues in the world so it’s very humbling to get a chance to play in it,ā€ Banda told the club.

ā€œSince my first meeting with the club and the General Manager, I knew this was a club I wanted to join. I can’t wait to meet my new teammates and start working with them. I hope to help the team in my small capacity to do great things and win a lot of trophies together.ā€

Banda is expected to be one of the highest paid players in the National Women’s Soccer League.

Banda’s deal includes a number of incentives and bonuses which makes it one of the biggest investments in Women’s Football.
