Reigning CAF Women’s Footballer of the year Barbra Banda and compatriot Rachel Kundananji have been nominated for the 2025 CAF Player of the year award.

Kundananji will be hoping to become the second Zambian to win the award after her country mate but the duo will face stiff competition from Malawian Temwa Chawinga, Morocco captain Ghizlane Chebbak and the Nigerian duo of Rasheedat Ajibade and Esther Okoronkwo.
Youngsters Mercy Chipasula and Ruth Mukoma have been nominated in the Young Player of the year award category.
The Copper Princesses have made it to the team of the year category.
Meanwhile, Coach Carol Kanyemba who is the first Zambian to qualify any team for back to back World Cups at any age level has also been nominated for the coach of the year award.
