Copper Queens captain Barbra Banda and striker Ochumba Oseke have arrived in Algiers to join the team’s pre-WAFCON training camp in Algeria.
Banda landed at Algiers International Airport Houari Boumediene at 12h30, while Oseke arrived earlier at 11h30.
Their arrival brings the number of players in camp to 21. The remaining foreign-based players are expected to arrive tomorrow.
Meanwhile the Copper Queens were held to a 1-1 draw by Algeria in the first of two pre – WAFCON friendly matches played at Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida on Sunday.
The COSAFA giants will return to the same venue on Wednesday for the second and final friendly against Algeria before leaving for Morocco on Thursday for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
