Zambia Women’s national team captain Barbara Banda scored her 12th goal of the Chinese Taiping CFA Women’s Super League and set up two others to help Shanghai Shengli to a 3-1 win over Shandong Sports Lottery.
The Steel Roses took the lead after 43 minutes as Shandong defender Wang Xuan failed to deal with a Barbara Banda pass and winger Yan Jinjin capitalized to score her second goal in as many matches to open the scores this morning in Kunming.
Shandong leveled matters just nine minutes into the second half as Li Ying’s proved too Powerful for Shengli’s goal minder.
Shengli however restored their lead just three minutes later as the Copper Queens skipper overpowered two defenders to get on the end of a ball from Tang Jaili and send a shot into the roof of the net, 2-1.
Zhang Xin sealed the win 14 minutes to time as she got on the end of a pass from Barbara Banda and powered a low drive beyond the Shandong Sports Lottery goalkeeper.

The win means Shengli finish second in the first phase of the 2020 Chinese Taiping CFA Women’s Super League with 24 points to their name just one behind log leaders Wuhan Jiangda.
The league will now move to the second phase were Shengli will join Wuhan, Beijing and Jiangsu in a four team group that will play for the title next month!
Changchun, Shandong, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Henan and Hebei will compete in the play-off against the relegation also in October.
Banda finishes the first phase with 12 goals as joint top goalscorer with Argentine Sole Jaimes of Changchun. Banda has also contributed seven assists for Shengli in the nine games played so far.
