The signing of striker Baba Basile by Kansanshi Dynamos has raised eyebrows, the ZamFoot Crew understands.
According to the Mabanga Boys’ fans in Northwestern Province, they are shocked with the amount of money spent on a player who is yet to kick a ball since he joined.
“From the time he came, he has never played a single game for the team. We are just wondering why the executive signed him with his record at Zanaco,” an infuriated fan.
Basile joined Kansanshi Dynamos on Janauary 4, 2022 together Jesse Were after he was released by Zanaco.
While Were has featured in all the three matches for Kansanshi since the turn of the year, Basile hasn’t played a single minute.
No statement has been issued by the club as to why the Cameroon striker is yet to make his debut.
Speculation is that Basile is injured.
Since he joined, Kansanshi have drawn once against Kabwe Warriors and also lost twice to Red Arrows [5-0] and Zanaco [2-1],
In 360 minutes, Kansanshi have scored just a goal courtesy of Were against 8 they have shipped in.
This weekend, they welcome Chambishi at Independence Stadium.
There are next four games will be away to Indeni in Ndola before back to back homes against Zesco United and Kafue Celtic.
They will then visit Nkana in Kitwe.
New signing Djo Nyambwe and Marvin Jere are expected to be involved.
Dornwell Yobe will still be in-charge against Chambishi on Saturday.
Last wek, Tenant Chilumba and his assistant Happy ‘Bauchi’ Sichilikolo were sacked for poor performance.
