Mwepu did not travel to Klagenfurt and remained behind in Salzburg as he was suspended for the match but will get his medal having been involved in the campaign from the start.
THE GOALS
Salzburg took the lead just 19 minutes into the match, Dominik Szoboszlai with a well-taken free-kick into the top corner from an acute angle. Salzburg doubled the lead just two minutes later as Dominik Stumberger put Hee-Chan Hwang’s pass into his own net.
Eight minutes into the second half Noah Okafor made it 3-0 finishing off a Szoboszlai pass. Majid Ashmeru made it 4-0 before Sekou Koita could complete the 5-0 bashing of Lustenau who failed to win the final for the second time having lost to SV Ried back in 2011.
Salzburg has now won the Austrian Cup seven times, winning it in 2012,2014,2015,2016,2017,2019, and 2020. Mwepu and Daka, on the other hand, have only won two of those 2019 and 2020.
