The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has unveiled the list of nominees for 2017 annual awards to be staged at Moba Hotel in Kitwe on Friday.
Zanaco duo of Augustine Mulenga and Toaster Nsabata together with Lusaka Dynamos’ Chris Mugalu will battle it out for the top award of Player of the year.
Mulenga was exceptional for both club and country in the year helping Zanaco to the group stage of the CAF Champions League as well as being a key member of the Chipolopolo squad which has rediscovered some form.
While it is rare for goal-minders to get the nod as nominee for player of the year, Nsabata has defied the odds especially for his exploits in the CAF Champions League where he conceded only 3 times and kept 7 clean sheets in 10 games.
Mugalu on the other hand has been the most potent striker on the local scene and will walk away with the golden boot.
The Coach of the Year features Beston Chambeshi, Bilton Musonda and Numba Mumamba.
A poll of ZamFoot put Beston Chambeshi ahead of the rest.
2017 player of the year Ziyo Tembo has been nominated under the Most Disciplined Player category.
The awards a sponsored by league sponsors MTN.

Why have voted for Sate Sate, I don’t remember him receiving a yellow card this season.
You are right
Why kapumbu didnot make it in top three..his none inclusion it automatically implies that he was not oustanding the whole season. And his nomination for african footballer of the year it was a mockery.
Yes, it was a mockery
