Orlando Pirates new signing Augustine Mulenga has wasted no time in announcing his arrival in the PSL after he scored four goals for his team in their 9 – 1 bashing of lower tier side Jomo Cosmos in a friendly match.
Mulenga who joined his new team this week and had his first training session at Pirates on Thursday the onslaught in a game Justin Shonga also got a goal.
With Pirates not in action until next weekend when they host Chippa United, the 28 year old will have to wait before makes his league debut.
Compatriot Shonga has scored one goal in 10 appearances but has been lauded by the Pirates fans for being a team player and being at the centre of most goals scored by the team since his arrival.
Memela, Morrison, Lauren and Foster scored the other goals.
“Honestly speaking Justin Shonga is not a scoring type, what he does well is assisting. Looking at every game where we scored a goal, Shonga is involved in the build up. He doesn’t care about personal glory but team glory. Well my opinion is this boy has a great future ahead, he just reminds me of our former engine Isaac Chansa,” a post in the Orlando Pirates forum read.
The Buccaneers are currently second on the log, 5 points behind Sundowns with 9 games before the season closes.

good player gone to a totaly useless ligue
Congrats
A lot more editing ba Zamfoot…
Isaac Chansa was a consisyent goal scorer whaich was amazing because he was never an out and out striker. He was once Orlando Pirates top goal scorer in a season that he was used mainly as a box to box midfielder and even with the additional workload he emerged the clubs top goal scorer. The guy that made to comparison to Augustine Mulenga is so far off the mark…he is comparing Oranges with apples.
Sure some comparisons, awe sure auga is a wide midfielder as in chansa is in the middle always and every where he’s ever played.
I guess the comparison is more about what he brings to the team. A good start to life in S.A. On Shonga, he is doing well. Creating goals is another great attribute. Although , as a forward he will soon have to start scoring to seal his place as a complete striker.
what do you expect this guy z earopean material then you play him agsinst a second tier club in southafrica..he can only justfy that with four goals gud enaf for a wide player..
