Astra hope Fwayo will stay in Romania

Astra owner Loan Niculae has stated that his club will take back Fwayo Tembo after the Zambian midfielder had fallen out favour with the Romanian businessman.

Niculae said Tembo will return to training with the team as they continue to negotiate.

Club President Narcis Răducan acknowledged that the club and the player had a dispute but they would work through it.

“The situation is delicate for Tembo. We have a dispute, but if he accepted to come it means that he has already taken a step,” he said.

“I got information from colleagues and the club that Tembo is not a monster. I knew that we landed an exceptional footballer. I hope he will not deceive me but make good house here.”

Tembo is reported to have left for Romania on Sunday and he stated that he was optimistic his issue would be resolved.

In November, Zambianfootball.co.zm reviewed that Astra had indicated that they were willing to take back Tembo.

  1. There is not dispute that Fwayo is an exceptional player but what retards his progress is his poor attitude in my opinion and the sooner he realises this the better for him. I only hope he has learnt a thing or two from this experience and make the most of this chance that has presented it self again to resurrect his soccer career.

  2. I see zambia being a favourite at afcon 2017. With the under 17 and under 20 teams looking hot. Fwayo, Mayuka, Sunzu, Mweene, kalaba etc will add experience. What we need now is a European coach Janza has failed let’s remove him

    • 2017 shouldn’t be a rehabilitation centre-we need to move on, those that threw their chance should just concentrate on their club careers. By then the so called “midgets” would’ve beefed up-Larry Bwalya, Patson Daka (did you guys see Njie of Cameroun in the match against Cote, eish just watch the boy), Patrick Ngoma, Young Sunzu U17 midfielder, Changwe Kalale if he completely recovers, Lubambo, etc

    • With the talented crop of players coming up the rank, Kalu and his puppets Janza and the Mexican guy, are going nowhere! Kalu will never give up the opportunity to make ma half with these talented youngsters coming up the ranks!

  3. We must protest janza’s continued appointment. Janza has been with the team long enough from when he began as assistant. He has failed let’s remove him now. 2 points and bottom of the group is a disgrace I suggest faz poach the Ugandan coach he is good.

  4. @John, the anointed one will not let that happen, he owns Zambia remember? He will continue to hand pick from his inner circles to coach Zambia from now onwards.

  5. ohhh son of Zambia blessed of massive talent. but due to stupidity & indiscipline u have stooped so low in yo talent. mature and get back to the heights yo talent can take you. return to chipolopolo so that in the future Zambia will black out some stars.

  6. Question is, will Fwayo want to come and play for the Chipolopolo after being flush to the corner when he was down? When our football leaders should have sat him down and also try to resolve issues with his club? Our football leaders need to learn how nurture the young players not just wanting them when things are good. If Fwayo gets back to his best form and refuses to come play for Zambia then we should not point fingers at this youngman as we all were angry at him and never helped him, but blamed him for everything. For us fans were angry at seeing one of our talented player playing in mad grounds in Chilenje or ku Chawama. Our Faz leadership were even worse as they were in a position to resolve his issues, but turned their eye the other side. You can’t just lead with a remote control as Kalu is doing. Point is, Zambia is in need of leadership that will foresee the development of young talent among other things, but we ain’t getting that right now this corrupt Kalu and his admin. There is no nurturing of the talent we have in Zambia as seen with the influx of our young players into China.

    • I believe there was a point that Janza was trying to help him and he even started training with Red Arrows. The sad bit was instead of him being discipline and doing his bit at Arrows, he decided to go back to his drinking ways. I know at one point, he was expected to be training with them for a crucial league game against Zesco(which they eventially won) but he went AWOL. So really, on this one I think FAZ tried.

    • Brazil, the African champions will face North Korea and Hungary in Group E of the tournament, which will be played from 30 May to 20 June.

Group draw for the 2015 Under-20 World Cup:

Group A: New Zealand, Ukraine, United States, Myanmar.

Group B: Argentina, Panama, Africa’s third-placed team, Australia.

Group C: Qatar, Colombia, Portugal, Africa’s fourth-placed team

Group D: Mexico, Zambia, Uruguay, Serbia.

Group E:African Champion, Brazil, North Korea, Hungary.

Group F: Germany, Fiji, Uzbekistan, Honduras. my point is we are qualifying for this tournament come what may .

  8. They should pay him properly this time around. $10,000/month is a joker salary for a professional at that level. Its time these clubs started respecting the value of African players and quit the nonsense exploitation tip they are on.

Chibadula its your second chance or is it third or fourth, etc…… anyway this time handle your business more professionally and take the emotion out of it you are not a woman for Pete’s sake. If this club don’t improve on your wages only move when you have something guaranteed elsewhere and make sure you are well aware of your contractual status before moving. They have given you a life line and truth be told 98% of the bloggers here don’t know the full story behind the level of exploitation you got at this club but that does not justify your subsequent actions as well. It was good to have a beer and talk football with you when you were in Joburg. At least I got the side of the story as well. All the best my friend.

  9. Goodluck Fwayo, your unvieling was so low key plus no squared number yet long way to go also dump Mr Diallo as your agent distructive influence that guy

  10. Haha! ” I see zambia being a favourite at afcon 2017. With the under 17 and under 20 teams looking hot. Fwayo, Mayuka, Sunzu, Mweene, kalaba etc will add experience.” O dear, there we go again! Same old habit of dreaming in colour. Tournaments are won by serious teams not hopeful ones!
