Red Arrows have opened a six point lead at the summit of the MTN Super League, Power Dynamos staged a late comeback while Nchanga Rangers and Nkana played to a 1-1 draw.
Action from week 14 of the Zambian topflight continued on Sunday with some exciting matches.
At Nkoloma Stadium, Red Arrows beat Mutondo Stars 2-0 thanks to Peter Kalota’s first half brace.
The win means the Airmen move to 31 points, opening a six point lead and their unbeaten run extends to 13 games this season.
At Arthur Davies Stadium, Power Dynamos came from a goal down to beat Konkola Blades 2-1 and move up to second on the log.
Francis Mubanga opened the scoring in the 28th minute but a late second half brace from Moses Shumah turned things around as he netted a brace within a minute.
The win takes Abayellow to 28 points and second on the MTN Super League table.
Jacob Kaunda scored a late goal to rescue a point for Nchanga Rangers at Nchanga Stadium after Idriss Ilunga Mbombo had put Nkana in the lead in the 29th minute. FC MUZA and FC Leopards played out to a 1-1 draw in Mazabuka.
