MTN Super League side Zanaco are set to appoint Nigeria Super Eagles legend Emmanuel Amunike in an advisory role the ZamFoot Crew understands.
Reports in Nigeria indicate that he has been appointed as head coach but the ZamFoot Crew understands that Amunike will come in as a consultant for the meantime.
Kelvin Kaindu who has a running contract with the bankers is expected to continue in his head coach role with Amunike as his advisor in the initial set up according to ZamFoot Crew sources at Sunset Stadium.
The Bankers have had an inconsistent start to the 2022/23 campaign with two wins and two losses in four matches played so far.
Amunike, 51, led Tanzania to break the 39-year jinx after he qualified them for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
He also led the Nigeria Golden Eaglets to win the 2015 U-17 World Cup in Chile.
The Bankers will be away to Prison Leoprads at the President Stadium in Kabwe on Saturday in week five of the ongoing MTN Super League season.
