Zambia Super League side Prison Leopards has elevated assistant coach Albert Kachinga to the role of head coach with immediate effect.
This is according to a statement by Club media director Brian Mooya which was made available to the ZamFoot Crew.
“The Prison Leopards Football Club Executive has appointed Albert Kachinga and Willie Chalwe as new Prison Leopards Football Club Head Coach and Assistant Coach respectively.
Kachinga, who was until his new appointment as Assistant Coach takes over from Ismael Balanga who has since been given a new role as Technical Director at the club.
The changes are with immediate effect and are aimed at enhancing the team’s performance to ensure it achieves its major objective, of remaining in the supper league, this season and the seasons to come.”
According to the statement, the Executive is confident that the changes will yield the intended results. Prison Leopards chairman James Nkoloma has since congratulated the two newly appointed coaches and wished them best of luck as they take over the affairs of the team.
The Collect Boys are currently 10th on the log with 34 points from 25 games played so far. They have only managed one win from their last six games.
