Defender Aime Mabika’s citizenship process has been finalised, Sports Minister Elvis Nkandu has revealed.
Mabika who plays his professional football for Inter Miami in the Major Soccer League was born in Lusaka to Congolese parents and lived in Zambia until he was eight years old when his parents moved to the US.
Nkandu says Mabika might join the team in Ivory Coast or during the second game against Comoros on 7th May 2022.
He has since urged the team to ensure they get a positive result in tomorrow’s group H game against the Elephants of Ivory Coast.
