USA based defender Aime Mabika is doubtful for the two important AFCON qualifiers between the Copper Bullets and Lesotho.
The Inter-Miami defender has yet to be issued a Zambian passport despite the Minister of Sport Elvis Nkandu saying the opposite recently.
The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) yesterday confirmed that Mabika was a doubt for the match in a post on Monday afternoon.
“Aime Mabika remains doubtful as his documentation is yet to be sorted out.”
The ZamFoot Crew however understands that the authorities are now working overtime to make sure the towering defender is cleared today.
Mabika could be in the country tomorrow, a day before the first leg. Zambia plays Lesotho on Thursday at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium at 18:00 hours.
Tickets are being sold across Shoprite outlets via Computicket with the cheapest fetching K50 (North and South) while for the East wing it will be K100.
For the West Wing the charge is K150 while VIP is pegged at K200.
We need a minister who is faithful not a minister who is full of lies
THAT IS HOW POLITICIANS ARE
Elvis Nkandu is minister of football , President Hichilema should take note! This is the problem of people who don’t understand how government operates. Government does not operate like a farm or someone’s home! Each and every position has Terms of Reference (ToRs), and each every person doing government work is guided by these ToRs. Now here is a situation where the Minister of Sport is talking on behalf of the Football Association of Zambia , he’s the “spokesperson” for FAZ. Somebody must advise him, Chineke!
I thought he already had a passport! Why do we always leave things to the last minute?
