AFCON winner returns to Nkana

Evans Kangwa has rejoined Nkana eleven years after initially leaving the club to join Israeli side Hapoel Ranaana.

Kangwa left Nkana in 2014 when he joined Israeli side Hapoel Ranaana on an initial one year loan deal before signing a permanent deal which was extended for another year after impressing with 11 goals in his first season before signing a permanent 3 year deal. 

Kangwa’s permanent move to Ranaana in 2016 was reported to be pegged at a little above USD150,000.00

Kangwa then moved to Turkish side Gaziantepspor before joining Russian side Arsenal Tula. 

In 2023 Kangwa moved to China to join then newly promoted Chinese Super League side, Qingdao Hainiu before joining Saudi Arabia side Abha. 

The Club took to social media to confirm the development saying they were thrilled to announce the return of Kangwa to Nkana Stadium. 

“We are thrilled to announce the return of Evans “KALULU” Kangwa to KALAMPA! After some years away in Russia, Israel and Turkey among others, he is back where he belongs, ready to bring his skills and passion back to the pitch.

At Nkana, Kangwa is expected to reunite with his former striking partner Ronald ‘Sate-Sate’ Kampamba.

Kangwa made his debut on his second coming on Friday, September 26th in Nkana’s goalless draw with Konkola Blades away in Chililabombwe.
