Striker Abel Salim Nyirongo has been ruled out of Sunday’s CAF U17 African Cup of Nations match against Uganda.

And midfielder Nthasilwe Malupande is back in contention after missing Thursday’s draw against Morocco due to a ‘grade ome sprained ankle.’
Zambia U17 Team Doctor Emmanuel Kanswe said the Atletico Lusaka foward suffered a grade one groin injury.
“Abel [Salim Nyirongo] will miss tomorrow’s match against Uganda. He has grade one groin injury,” the UTH based orthopedic surgeon registrar said.
Nyirongo was stretched off in the first half on Thursday against Morocco and replaced by Nkwazi’s Billy Daka.
He has already notched in a goal at the tournament.
Last year he scored 7 goals at the Cosafa Cup to help Zambia to qualify to the Morocco finals.
In his absence, the likes of Daka, Robert Banda, Chama Mwansa, Kelvin Mulenga and Mapalo Simute are expected to lead the line against Uganda’s cubs.
Zambia need a point to qualify to quarter finals.
