Attention now shifts to the ABSA Cup as the round of 16 comes alive with five Provincial Division One teams joining 4 from National Division One and 7 Super League sides.
Kabwe town will host ABSA Cup matches for the first time in the tournament’s history.
Super League hopefuls, Kansanshi Dynamos will battle it out with 2015 Champions Green Buffaloes at 12h30 in the first ever ABSA Cup match in the Central Province capital.
National Division One side Mpulungu Harbour will then face a daunting task of battling the defending champions Red Arrows at 15h00 for a place in the quarter finals.
Action continues at Railway Ground on Sunday, April 6, 2025, as exciting youthful Bart’s United face record 6 time winners ZESCO United in a lunchtime kick-off followed by a ‘power battle’ between Air Power and Super League log leaders Power Dynamos at 15h00.
Meanwhile Arthur Davies Stadium will see a big clash take centre stage tomorrow as Nkana faces off with old rivals Roan United in a match that will bring beautiful old memories for both the people of Wusakile and those of Luanshya. Kick off is 15h00.
Prior to that encounter North Western Province representatives Solwezi Academy will face off with National League side Konkola Blades in the early kick off, 12h30.
At Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka, Prison Leopards will take on Green Eagles in a service derby at lunchtime on Sunday before the Lusaka Province representatives Makeni All Stars take to the pitch against Kabwe Warriors at 15h00.
Ticket prices are set at K150 for VIP, K100 for grandstand while K20 fetches you an Open Wing ticket.
The winners of this year’s edition will walk away with the K1,000,000 winners’ prize money.
Runners-up will receive K400,000 and there is also a travel subsidy of K50,000 to all teams.
