Red Arrows have booked their place in the semi finals of the Absa Cup after a 3-1 victory over Green Eagles on Sunday.
Chisi Mbewe’s side had a convincing display as they sailed through to the last four.
Congolese defender Michee Malonga scored a brace to help the airmen to victory.
Walford Sikanyika gave the defending champions a first half lead but his goal was cancelled out by a Simon Mulenga penalty.
The Airmen found the breakthrough when Wilford Sikanyika slotted home after some fine buildup play on in the 23rd minute but the lead was short lived as goalkeeper Jeban Tembo brought down the Prince of Choma (Spencer Sautu) in the box in the 27th minute gifting Eagles a lifeline from the penalty spot, Simon Mulenga made no mistake as he levelled the tie to leave the match level at the break.
Michee Malonga put Arrows in the lead in the 71st minute when he rose highest to nod in a well placed header to restore Arrowsā advantage from a Peter Kalota set piece.
Eagles were reduced to ten men as Warren Kunda was sent off for a reckless challenge on Norris Kalamba.
Malonga sealed the win in the dying minutes, slotting home a penalty after Joseph Phiri was brought down in the box.
On Saturday, Zesco United and Nkana advanced to the semi finals following their victories over Konkola Blades and Kansanshi Dynamos respectively.
