All is set for tomorrow’s big clash between defending Champions ZESCO United and Lusaka Dynamos in the final of the 2021 ABSA Cup.
The two teams will go head to head at Woodlands Stadium for a chance to clinch the K600 000 rich ABSA Cup trophy.
ABSA Bank Zambia Marketing and Communications manager Banji Lufungulo has reiterated the company’s commitment to increasing investment in the competition every year. She also confirmed that fans will watch the match on TV and that they can also take part in a predict and win competition.
“We are really excited as ABSA to finally see the time truth coming to life, Our total investment of 3.8 million kwacha remains a testament of how big we want this cup to be. We are committed to increasing investment year in year out. We can only hope that tomorrow will be exciting,” Banji told the ZamFoot Crew.
“Excited to see what tomorrow will bring, What the coaches will put to play, and if the players will bring their best.”

ZESCO United gaffer Numba Mumamba is expecting a tough match tomorrow as his side will face a fellow big team.
“I must commend the sponsors, We have done our preparations, we playing our of the best-assembled teams we expect a tough game, it will be 50/50. Our troops are ready and we hope to lift the trophy,” Numba said.
“What is important is to apply ourselves tomorrow, We going into this match as defending Champions but we facing a fellow big team,” he added.
Lusaka Dynamos assistant coach Stephen Mwansa is also expecting a tough match but believes it’s time to make history.
“Yes, it will be a 50/50 affair, As you watched last week we played well and ZESCO also played well, We expect fireworks,” he said.
“No coach prepares a team to pose, we have prepared well for ZESCO United, On paper, you may say they are winning it but we have prepared, it is our time to make history.”
Lusaka Dynamos striker Emmanuel Chabula added: It will be an interesting one, everything is set, we have prepared with our coaches, expect a good match tomorrow. Winning this one would be a massive boost, It’s time we add a title to Lusaka Dynamos’ cabinet.”
The winner will walk away with K600, 000 while the runner-up will pocket K250, 000. The player of the tournament and coach of the tournament will each pocket K25, 000 with the man of the match getting K15,000.
