ABSA Cup at stake for Zanaco as they host Arrows

Spotlight is on Zanaco after releasing over 11 players and staff to trim the squad in this last match of the year.

But for coach Kelvin Kaindu, maximum points against Red Arrows is what will matter this afternoon.

The bankers need to beat Arrows 4-0 or more in order to qualify for ABSA Cup to still the last last from Nkwazi.

Kaindu is expected to start with Charles Lawu in goal ahead of Lameck Siame while Isaac Shamujompa and young centre back Christopher Mhango will continue in central defence.

Former Zambia captain Ziyo Tembo was among the 11 players who have been released by Zanaco. Ziyo captained Zambia to their last league title in 2016 and he was named Zambian Footballer of the Year

Upfront, Emmanuel Manda is expected to lead the attack alongside Moses Phiri.

Arrows have a chance to close the gap to point over leaders Green Buffaloes with a game in hand.

Chisi Mbewe’s side can make it 6 wins in row at Sunset.

In order to achieve, Chisi will summon striker Ricky Banda upfront while the likes Saddam Yusuf Phiri, Edward Tembo and Alassane Diarra will be key in midfield.

At the back Tresor Tshibwabwa and Kebson Kamanga will lead the pack.
