ABSA Cup 2024; FC MUZA, Eagles march on to the quarter finalsĀ 

The 2024 ABSA Cup action continued on Sunday with some exciting fixtures as Atletico Lusaka welcomed Green Eagles while the Border Boys Chirundu United faced off with FC MUZA. 

Samson Malaya scored in the 85th minute but it was a little too late as Green Eagles edged the National Division One side 2-1 thanks to goals from Tapson Kaseba and Aaron Musore. 

The Kawale Boys will face Red Arrows who thrashed Malalo Police 7-1 on Saturday in the quarter finals. 

Atletico Lusaka’s Francis ā€˜Bubu’ Mutalange was named player of the match. 

In the first match Super League side, FC MUZA was too strong for Lusaka Province Division One log leaders, Chirundu United as they thumped them 3-0. 

Goals from skipper Kelvin Mwanza, Boston Banda and Andrew Phiri gave the Mazabuka based side a comfortable win. 

FC MUZA will face Power Dynamos in the quarterfinals of the competition. Biston Banda was named the player of the match.

Action continues today with two more tasty fixtures at Nkoloma stadium in Lusaka.
