Without the injured Patson Daka, Zambia lacked the attacking prowess upfront.
The West Africans dominated the first half as they suffocated Zambia in their own half.
The second half started with Emerse Fae’s men dominating and controlling the game.
The home side finally got their break through when substitute Krasso gave the home side a deservedly lead in the 74th minute.
Krasso got his second of the night to seal the victory for the Elephants ten minutes later.
Zambia will now turn attention to match day 2 home tie against Sierra Leone at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Tuesday.
The Copper Bullets are yet to win a match this year.
