ZESCO United will be looking to win their record-extending seventh title when they face off with Red Arrows this afternoon in the 2025 ABSA Cup final.
The Ndola based outfit are the most successful team in the competition having won six titles and will be hoping to improve that tally this afternoon.
However they face the defending Champions, Red Arrows who are looking for a third title.
The Airmen beat Kabwe Warriors 2-1 in the final last year to clinch a second title.
ZESCO UNITED’S PATH TO THE FINAL
Zesco United began their campaign with a comfortable 3-1 win over Southern Province League side Barts FC.

A goal each from Peter Musukuma , Lindo Mkhonta and John Ching’andu gave Zega Mambo a well deserved win.
In the quarter finals, ZESCO saw off National League side Konkola Blades 2-0 to book their spot in the semi-finals.
Abraham Siakombo and Lindo Mkhonta scored the two goals for Emmanuel Siwale’s side.
In the semifinals, it was Nkana who came calling and Peter Musukuma scored his second in the tournament to send ZESCO United to their eighth ABSA Cup final.
Meanwhile, defender Benedict Chepeshi can make ABSA Cup history this afternoon should ZESCO United win their seventh title.

He will become the first player to win the trophy with two different clubs in back-to-back seasons — having captained Red Arrows to victory last year.
RED ARROWS JOURNEY TO THE FINAL
The Airmen showed their pedigree from the word goal as they thrashed lower league side Mpulungu Harbour 6-1 in the round of 16.
Wilford Sikanyika, Paul Katema, James Chamanga, Saddam Yusuf Phiri, Noris Mubanga, Derick Bulaya, and Angel Lubamba were all on target.
In the quarter finals, The Airmen faced off with Green Eagles in a military derby and eased past them with a 3-1 scoreline.
Michee Mulonga scored a brace, while Wilford Sikanyika scored his second of the campaign to send the Chisi Mbewe coached side to the semifinals.

Their biggest challenge yet came in the semifinals as they came face to face with the now League Champions Power Dynamos.
Joseph Phiri was the hero of the day as he scored the only goal of the game to set up a thrilling final with ZESCO United.
